Welcome to The Sydney Canvas Company We are purveyors of superior quality Cotton Duck Canvas grown and woven in India – machine primed with archival acrylic gesso that gives a nice tooth perfect for any media – Charcoal, ink, Acrylic and Oil Paint. We stock authentic Linens grown, woven and primed in Belgium and Italy by two of the biggest names in linen – Belle Arti of Italy and Libeco Lagae of Belgium so you know you are getting the real thing and not an imitation. Unprimed (loomstate) cottons and linens are also available. We pride ourselves on our Hand Made Custom Stretched Canvases, built for you using our sustainably grown hardwood stretcher bars. The benefits of hardwood Stretcher Bars are strength and straightness. We guarantee that our custom stretched canvases will never twist or warp – which means your artwork will outlive you! Coming very soon is our own range of Ready Made Canvases – the Modern Painters series – which offers a more affordable off the shelf painting support – made from our popular 10 ounce primed cotton duck canvas, stretched on Canadian Spruce stretcher bars. We supply many Art Stores in Sydney with our Cotton and Linen Rolls and Custom Stretched Canvases. We also provide Rolls and Materials for several major art schools in NSW and Victoria.
