The Toad in the Hole Pub has been a staple in Winnipeg’s Osborne Village since the doors opened in 1990. Proprietor Michael Monk took over eight years ago, and has continued the tradition of great pub grub and a wide selection of premium domestic and import beer. The Toad has grown over the years; in that time has established a reputation as the “go to” spot in the music scene; with The Cavern Club downstairs offering local, national and international artists the opportunity to showcase their music to appreciative audiences throughout the week. Hats off to brother Kev Monk for bringing his vision to the new expansion unveiled in June 2012. “The Whiskey Bar”, exclusive to a 25yrs plus crowd, offers newbies and connoisseurs alike the opportunity to relax in a warm and comfortable environment with a choice of over 160 Whiskies from Ireland, Canada, America and Scotland. With three great concepts under one roof, there is a little something for everyone. Come check out the new tables and chairs in the games room! As for the Toad itself, it is a hub for British Pub fare, pints, and flavour, offering a range of fantastic beers on tap including: Keiths, Grasshopper, Shock Top, Warthog, Traditional Ale, Fort Garry Dark, Okanogan Spring Pale, Moosehead, Okanogan 1516, Newcastle, Rock Creek, Guiness, Little Scrapper and the notorious “Tipsy Toad Lager”!
