SPECIAL BALI VOLCANO UPDATE --> If you have any friends or family currently stuck over's an update from Virgin Australia : The latest advice from our team of meteorologists and the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre is that conditions in the vicinity of Denpasar Airport appear to have improved over the course of today, Monday 13 July. To ensure the safety of operating in the area, Virgin Australia has sent an observation flight to Denpasar this afternoon so that pilots have visual confirmation of the improved conditions. Should the observation flight confirm that conditions are suitable for operating flights, two flights will depart Denpasar this evening, and flight operations will resume tomorrow morning if conditions continue to be favourable. Additional flights have been scheduled tomorrow to ensure we can have guests on their way as soon as possible. A full list of flights is included below. Please note that Mt Raung continues to erupt and we have been advised that winds are forecast to blow in an unfavourable direction over the next few days, so it is likely that operations could be disrupted again. We continue to monitor the situation closely. The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority and we will keep customers updated as new information becomes available. Further information Virgin Australia is advising guests currently in Bali not to travel to Denpasar Airport without a confirmed rebooked flight. Guests will be updated about their flight options via SMS. Guests whose flights have been cancelled as a result of the volcanic activity will be able to change their booking to another date or alternative destination within 30 days without fee or receive a full travel credit by contacting our Guest Contact Centre on 13 67 89 (from Australia), 00 1803 061 2002 (from Indonesia) or +61 7 3295 2296 from other international locations. Any guests due to travel to or from Denpasar are encouraged to check the status of their flight on our website.
