Description
The University Connection targets students who are looking to expand their database and network with one another, while simultaneously learning to build their brand as individuals. We will have multiple workshops to bring in HR professionals, entrepreneurs, and psychologists to ensure that students understand the lasting effect they can have on other people. We will hold presentations from working professionals to teach valuables skills such as remembering names, creating business cards, interview skills, etc. We will then utilize this newfound knowledge by hosting a networking session at a local banquet hall. We are looking to accept members from students in any faculty at Laurier who want to learn to be more professional and create lasting impressions on peers and potential employers. The University Connection will have a specific agenda that most clubs overlook. Self-reflection and growth take time and effort and cannot be demoted by another itinerary within another club.
