The Careers Service is for all students and recent graduates of the University of Manchester and helps them make the move from University to employment.

Description

The University of Manchester Careers Service aims to improve the employability of its students and also recent graduates. This is done by enhancing their skills, organising tailored events and giving expert advice. We understand that while at university, your career probably isn’t at the top of your priorities, especially for first and second years! This is why we organise events that give you the opportunity to meet with employers and find out for yourself what skills you need to have in order to get a job after university. There are many things you can do while here in Manchester that will boost your chances of getting a job and have fun too! Have you thought about volunteering, joining a society or getting work-experience? These are things employers look for, but they are also a great way for you to meet new people and discover skills you didn't know you had. We can also talk you through your CV to make sure you are doing yourself justice on it and help you stand out to future employers. We run a specialist website called CareersLink, which is a job vacancy website, and we list both full-time and part-time jobs.
