#BubblesForBecky THANK YOU, two of the most important words spoken to you as a friend of Becky Causey. On Monday night, those that braved the snow and ice, celebrated Becky with a fund raiser, Bubbles For Becky, at 1618 downtown. Today is DAY 17 for Becky. Seventeen days since she celebrated her new birthday, January 11th with a bone marrow transplant thanks to her precious sister, Nancy. The first 14 days have been tough as Becky’s body begins building back. She has 0, zero, zip immune system and is unable to have visitors. Becky’s body needs to start producing white blood cells. We need your help by please sending … good vibes and prayers, funny facebook posts, emails to firstname.lastname@example.org, snail mail to UNC-BMTU, patient: Causey #1114, 101 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 After Becky has started producing white blood cells she will be released to a new place to stay within a 10 mile drive to UNC hospital. She will need nursing care for 24 hours/7 days a week for a minimum of 100 days. Yes, that’s $500/day that insurance will not cover x 100 days. On Monday night more than $33,000 was raised with 100% of the money going to The Becky Causey Caregiving Fund. In addition to your prayers, if you would like to make a contribution to this fund, you may do so by mailing a check made out to The Becky Causey Caregiving Fund, c/o The View on Elm, 327 S. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 THANK YOU also for your continued support of Marti, Mikaela, and The View on Elm. We all love it when folks say “I bet you got those glasses at The View!” and we all say with a big grin, “Why, yes, of course!” XOXOXOxoxoxoXOXOXO

Our fantastic, elegant wonderful loving Becky who has been there for all of us is facing the fight of her life. We can help her best with our prayers and positive vibes and short visits. She likes chocolate ice cream, vanilla milkshakes, chicken broth , cokes. If you have a cold or don't feel well don't come visit because her immune system is suppressed. Although Becky has health insurance her fight for her life will use up her financial resources over the next 6 months. She will be mad at me for revealing this but I love her and I know all of you do too so the other way we can help Becky is to keep her shop busy and those who can buy glasses. By them for yourselves, your friends, someone less fortunate who can't afford glasses. Marti Kennedy and Mikaela Marjanen are ready willing and able to make you look better in glasses from the view than you do without them. Becky is fighting to stay with us. Let's work together to keep things going until she wins her battle.
Becky Causey, our friend and the owner of The View On Elm needs a our thoughts and love as she undergoes treatment for lymphoma. Let's show her some love!
Thank you for your continued prayers. Becky slept very well again last night with the drugs helping that along. She had her first major round of chemo yesterday. Another round will go in today. Today her dancing shoes have been taken away as she is somewhat wobbly on her feet. Her spirits are as well as can be expected. Becky loves the Facebook messages! Please continue to hold her in the light.
Friends, Becky appreciates your thoughts, prayers, cards, messages, and visits. We wish her congratulations on her first week of successful chemo! Visitors to the hospital -- please spread the word and let others know that visitors need to be 100% well. Please email Debbie via Facebook or at email@example.com and let her know when you plan to visit so that we can spread out the visiting love. Keep those Facebook posts and cards coming. They are wonderful and much appreciated. ❌⭕️❌⭕️❌⭕️
