A Little Pub History.... The building is on land previously known to house The Boughton Cold Store, as it was a supply depot during the Second World War. The Boughton Cold Store was built to store perishable goods like butter, cheese and margarine. These stores were built close to the railway line, to make the loading and unloading of supplies easy for the Ministry of Food. Make a day of it: Our traditional country inn with gardens is close to many beauty spots and places of historical interest, including stately homes. For ramblers, nearby Brixworth Country Park links to Pitsford Water, Pitsford Water Trail and Brampton Valley Way.
