“Great experience in New Hampshire” a 5 star review 3 days ago on TripAdvisor "My wife and I stayed for two nights recently. Three Chimneys was a fantastic experience in almost every way. Very charming room, we had room #3, which was fairly large, clean room and bathroom. The breakfasts were outstanding, can't say enough about the french toast. Service was great, the girl up front brought up dessert for us one night. The greens are very nice, well-kept. While we didn't do anything in Durham, the location worked well for our needs. It is a 10 minute drive to Portsmouth, which we enjoyed. Maine is right there, we did a day trip to Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. And it's close to Mass., which allowed us to go to Newburyport and Rockport. So there are a lot of things close by to drive to for the day. The improvement areas are minor for me - the TV remote control was a pain to operate and the walls are a bit thin. You could hear noise from the hallway, stairs, the room next door. We had earplugs, but it was quiet at night when we were sleeping. It was not an issue. We'd definitely come back here again. It was truly a great experience." Royal Palace Dance Studio will be providing Dance Lessons in our ballroom after a lovely Three Course Prix Fixe Dinner paired with Specialty Wines this Saturday at "Wine & Waltz"! Do you have your tickets yet? Waltz was originally derived from the Italian word, “volver” in the 18th century, which means to turn or revolve. Named after a peasant dance out of Germany and Austria called the Landler, it was the first widely popular dance seen in closed position. The formality of it went as far as the women wearing gloves as to never have bare skin touching another during the dance. The classic box step dominates the dance that we know as the Waltz today in 3/4 timing. (Description from Royal Palace Dance Studio)

“An Historic Inn that welcomes you as Family” A 5-Star Review on TripAdvisor from February 2015 Arriving at Three Chimneys Inn you feel you have been transported to a previous century and you should have a horse and carriage instead of a car. Entering the inn to register we were greeted enthusiastically and had the feeling that we were more than honored guests, we were family. This feeling continued for the two days we were there. Our room, designed to reflect the life of Teddy Roosevelt, was comfortable as well as interesting. There was an historic desk that was perfect for computer or just writing a letter. a minor inconvenience was the lack of a dresser or closet for our clothes but for a brief two-day stay there was no problem living out of our luggage. Dinner in the Inn was delicious and satisfying and the downstairs room with its original bake oven was pleasant and comforting. Breakfast the next two mornings was also excellent and the service was especially attentive. Every contact we had with staff including the housekeeper was pleasant and friendly. A Thoroughly enjoyable experience that we will hopefully repeat.

“Step back into the past and relax” 5 of 5 star review on TripAdvisor Built in the 1600s, this bed and breakfast offers unbelievable comfort that the people of Colonial New England could not even begin to dream about! Innkeeper and staff all incredibly pleasant, helpful. Patty, Lauren, Louise, and Laurie at the desk over my stay (visit to UNH) answering every question, meeting any need. As I sat in the lobby waiting for friend to come to breakfast (unbelievable spinach omelet, hope I can review elsewhere in Trip Advisor) the morning desk manager brought me out a cup of coffee. Have to go back.for vacation with my spouse. I did not see the other rooms, but was told some have jacuzzis. Stayed April 2015, traveled on business

“A Gem Off The Beaten Path” via TripAdvisor We were greeted like old friends and then shown around the property and escorted to our room. The room itself blew us away: huge, with three sitting areas, a work desk, a large bathroom and a mammoth four-poster bed. Everything about the Inn was top- notch, from the bedding and mattress to the luxurious towels. And if you are needing a bite, the tavern connected to the Inn is one of the finest for miles around. A wonderful experience. Our only wish: that we had planned to stay longer. Stayed October 2015, traveled as a couple

Read this recent 5-star review from TripAdvisor: “Unexpected surprise” Reviewed 1 week ago Found this inn on Expedia. It was a very good value for the quality of the room. Very private and clean room. The service was very good. The breakfast was served buffet style which is unusual for a bed and breakfast but it was delicious. Take some time and walk through the gardens and read about the history of the area. Stayed August 2015, traveled as a couple
