Welcome to Thrive Counselling, a new chapter in a long-running story. Thrive was created by the 2015 merger between Halton Family Services and Access Counselling & Family Services. Together, we are a comprehensive counselling agency serving the Halton Region since 1954. We are proud of both our long-standing service in Halton as well as our ability to grow and change to meet the needs of our evolving community. Over the years, we have helped thousands of people struggling with individual and family issues including family conflict, separation, divorce, depression, abuse or violence and grief and loss. We support people to thrive in the face of challenge and change. Thrive is a registered charitable non-profit agency. Primary funding is received from the Ministry of Community & Social Services, Ministry of the Attorney General, and the United Ways of Oakville, Burlington and Greater Hamilton, Milton and Halton Hills. Feeding Nunavut; Advocating for a food secure Canadian north. Our short term focus is helping to provide support and resources for hunters, fishers and community-based food aid programs in Nunavut. However, food insecurity is complicated. It involves many issues including poverty, housing, education, health and mental health. We advocate for these issues as well.
