Meet the team: Breffni - Practice Manager Hi, my name is Breffni and I am the Practice Manager here at TLC Dental. I am originally from Cork in Ireland and I have been working at TLC Dental for over 4 years, firstly as a dental nurse and now as practice manager. I have been in the dental field for over 11 years and it is wonderful to be part of such a well-run, organised and friendly practice. Every patient is given the highest level of care, something which all of the team are immensely proud of. We all endeavour to make patient comfort a priority and great emphasis is put on the individual needs of all our patients. To relax I enjoy reading and handcrafts such as knitting. I also find great pleasure in socialising, reading and listening to music. Tahlia - Dental Nurse Hi, I'm Tahlia and I'm one of the two dental nurses working at TLC Dental. Since working at TLC my awareness and respect for great dental care and maintenance has increased dramatically. It's a team effort to keep our practice running efficiently which makes it so easy to enjoy working here. Outside of work you find me out on the water wakeboarding with my friends and family. Jericka - Dental Nurse Hi my name is Jericka and I work as one of the dental nurses at TLC Dental. I am very proud to be part of such a lovely team that truly aims to deliver the ultimate dental experience for our patients. I have most definitely gained a range of skills and developed a greater understanding of oral health while working at TLC. Apart from working, I also currently study at the University of Technology Sydney. I love to listen to music, read good books and go out with my friends. Grace - Dental Hygienist Hi, my name is Grace Xu, I was born in China and I came to Australia when I was 17 years old. I attended Wollongong High School for my senior secondary education, and completed my first business degree in University of Technology Sydney in 2007 and my second oral health degree in 2011. I used to work as a MC in a TV Station for the TV program called Private Celebrities Interviews. I have also worked in the real estate industry for 2 years. These experiences have widened my strength in my patient's management. In addition, as a dental hygienist, my focus on dental hygiene and patients' care as well as teaching effective communication techniques enhances patients' understanding of the impact of periodontal disease, which in turn, improves patients' home care compliance. This is extremely important for patients living with existing systemic health conditions that can be further complicated by undiagnosed and untreated periodontal disease.
