Handcrafted soaps and artisanal goods!
To Be Modest came as a result of a personal quest to find a quality soap free from harsh irritants. Having suffered from eczema for many years, our founder grew tired of the commercial products that use harsh detergents, petroleum, and mineral oil in the guise of skin care. Hoping to exchange these ingredients for products that actually love the skin, she started making her own soaps. Happy with her results, she started sharing these products with her family and friends. And as time would have it, To Be Modest was born. All of our products are handmade in small batches from skin nourishing vegetable oils, botanicals, and natural additives. The desire for skin nurturing products helps us create products that are free from unnecessary chemicals and overly complex formulations. Our products are simple and modest, and we honestly think they are pretty darn good!
