To the Moon and Back is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting children born substance exposed and their caregivers.
To the Moon and Back is a free bi-monthly support group that meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Plymouth Recovery Center. The group is for the caregivers (foster and adoptive parents, relative and non-relative caregivers) of children born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and other in utero substance exposure and provides them a place to connect with one another. What our group offers... Support – We offer a safe place to discuss parenting your child with NAS or substance exposure with your peers. Learn about what has and has not worked with those who get it and are living it. Educate – We provide education to group participants through speakers and presenters with experience working with children with substance exposure to help guide their care. Advocate – We advocate by joining together as one voice to bring attention to the needs of our children. This group is led by Theresa Harmon, a Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with experience working with children with substance exposure in varying capacities.
