Tom Browns Brasserie is one of the finest restaurants in Nottinghamshire, set in a converted Victorian School House beside the leafy banks of the River Trent. The restaurants' name comes from a 19th century novel written by Thomas Hughes. The story is set in a Victorian school and is based upon the public school days of a boy called Tom Brown. The restaurant combines the stunning charm and character of an Old Victorian School House with a newly refurbished, elegant contemporary interior. The restaurant has continuously been acclaimed by a prestigious entry within the AA RESTAURANT GUIDES. In 2013, for the sixth consecutive year, Tom Browns can proudly announce the independent recognition of the exceptional standard of two AA Rosettes. Over the past 25 years Tom Browns has built a reputation and prides itself on serving fantastic quality, fresh, modern, world cuisine and providing superb service. Our outside dining terrace boasting beautiful riverside views is the perfect setting to relax in the summer months, either for a meal or just drinks. When the weather gets a little cooler there are blankets and outside fire pits to keep you warm. We offer a variety of special events throughout the year. Usually on Bank Holiday Sunday Evenings. Wine and food pairing nights and themed party nights such as this year's 'Cavern Club' evening where guests enjoy a 3 course 'Best of British' Meal followed by Live Beatles Tribute -The Fab 4. Other great events include an incredible Summer Ball with champagne reception, marquee, Live music, table entertainers and fabulous food and not forgetting our famous four day Beaujolais Breakfast party (Mid November) - Book early or be disappointed! Tom Browns has an extensive A La Carte menu (approx. £25-£30 for 3 courses) and has developed a great value for money Early Bird Menu which is available February - December (£14.95 - 2 courses / £17.95 - 3 courses). On Sunday lunchtimes we offer dishes from our A La Carte menu along with succulent traditional roast dinners. We cater for Weddings, Christmas Parties, Birthdays and other Private Functions.
