Dr John Maguire is a highly qualified and experienced orthopaedic surgeon and sports physician based in Townsville. He has post graduate fellowship qualifications in shoulder, knee and arthroplasty (joint replacement) surgery. Dr Maguire has also obtained a Masters degree in Sports Medicine from the Australian Institute of Sport. Dr Maguire’s specialist surgery areas include operations of the knee and shoulder. This includes advanced arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee due to sports related injuries, work injuries and orthopaedic conditions including arthritis. Dr Maguire’s key areas of interest and expertise include Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair, shoulder stabilisations and rotator cuff repair.
