As a self taught chef, my passion for combining healthy eating and significant lifestyle changes came to me in my early teens. As my own body was going through significant body changes so were my eating habits. Coming from a strong Italian Irish background, cooking and eating were always an ongoing ritual at home. However, obesity, diabetes, and cholesterol issues were also prominent in my family’s medical history. I was an athlete and youthful, but also a self admitted “emotional eater”. I was an injury at a young age that my physical capabilities were inhibited for a couple of years. Knowing that weight issues ran in my family I was determined to rehabilitate myself through proper nutrition and physical therapy. The biggest obstacle??? Nothing was available on the market that would satisfy me! There was nothing close to my my home cooked roots that was healthy and delicious. There was nothing fast and easy on the shelves that didn’t contain additives or preservatives. There was no protein bar that didn’t taste like cardboard or just a glorified candy bar. The next step was to create it and I did!! My company Simple Nutrition Meal Service has been around since 1998 and coupling my years of research and development with the BEST supplement and Vitamin Company was something that just molded with my program. You can’t have one without the other!
