Nestled above the John Barleycorn in River North, Chicago's newest premier lounge, Tunnel, opens its doors in February 2015. As the name suggests, the nondescript entrance on Kinzie Street opens to a hidden covered staircase inspired by London’s infamous urban tunnels. Blending the allure of a high-energy nightlife experience with VIP treatment, Tunnel aims to transform its venue on a nightly basis into a unique scene. As you climb each step, you begin to wonder what adventure awaits you upstairs. The intimate space designed by distinguished interior designer, Rocco Laudizio, is an exclusive cocktail lounge that portrays a contemporary mural created by emerging Chicago artist David Bozic. Color changing LED lights hang from the ceiling and a state-of-the-art lighting system synchronizes with a Martin Audio sound system and twelve-panel video wall for an unrivaled audio-visual experience. Tufted leather sofas and handcrafted tables along the perimeter of the space provide ample room for 120 partygoers to enjoy VIP bottle service. Emerging DJ’s from across the country, as well as local artists will spin in a LED and metal plexiglass framed DJ booth each night, bringing vibrant energy and new talent to Chicago’s River North neighborhood. If you want the dance floor to yourself, Tunnel can be reserved for birthday parties, bachelorette parties and special occasions. Tunnel's team will transform the space with custom decor, cocktails and music to create an unforgettable night.
