It is one of the most prestigious training grounds for young talent and proves time and time again to be the most exciting academies to be part of. In March 2011 UKTheatreSchool was awarded the accolade of BEST SCOTTISH ARTISTIC COMPANY 2011 by The Scottish Variety Awards. The theatre school trains talented young people part-time from age 4 through to 19 years many disciplines within the performing arts. We also have part-time adult acting courses - please email for further details. ENTRY: Entry into UKTheatreSchool Performing Arts Academy is strictly by audition. AUDITIONS: Open Auditions are in May and November each year. Private auditions can be arranged throughout the year - call 0141 332 5192 for details or to arrange an audition. Placement into UKTheatreSchool ensures each student trains in performing arts while having a fantastic time. EXAMS: Although the curriculum taught within our academy is geared at the student wishing to have accreditation; exams are not part of the whole program and students can 'opt out' of exams without this being a problem. Those students wishing to be presented for exams can be presented for LAMDA exams or LCM exams and RAD exams. We will also soon be introducing SQA qualifications. ACRONYMS: LAMDA: London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art LCM: London College of Music RAD: Royal Academy of Dance SQA: Scottish Qualifications Authority The above exams are accredited. Known throughout the performing arts world and can be used towards gaining entry or placement or UCAS points for university or further education establishment.
