Description

The United Supermarkets Arena (formerly known as United Spirit Arena) is a 15,000-seat multi-purpose facilityand home to Red Raider and Lady Raider Basketball and Texas Tech Volleyball, concerts, family shows, conferences, exhibitions, and university events.

General Info

The arena opened in 1999. It is home to the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Lady Raiders basketball teams and volleyball team. United Supermarkets, a Lubbock based supermarket chain with numerous stores in West Texas, was a major contributor. Thus, it was granted naming rights. Prior to the building of the arena, the teams played in the nearby City Bank Coliseum.

Located on N. Frankford, this arena cross style track is free to the public, we just ask that you give a hand, when you're able, when it comes time to prep/maintain the track. There are no paid employees here, just other motorcycle enthusiast who volunteer their time and machines to better this track. Be sure and thank Jeff(the head hauncho) for letting us run our dirt scooters on his land!
