The University of Calgary Marine Conservation Club is aimed at raising awareness and inspiring others to take action to protect marine animals

Description

Our club aims to promote education and raise awareness about various threats plaguing marine species around the globe. These issues may include the shark-finning industry, the seal hunt in Eastern Canada, the presence of marine mammals in aquariums such as SeaWorld and the effects of long-line fishing. We hope to raise money for local and global organizations working to preserve marine habitats and species as well as inspiring others to get involved to protect marine life :)
