Description
Tradition is the handing on of the flame, not the worship of ashes.--Gustav Mahler We are a working group of singers, teachers, conductors and coaches who are trained in the time-honored traditions of bel canto singing and performing. We look forward and prepare our students to work as performers, teachers and researchers in music, most particularly classical singing. We have a track record of excellence that has resulted in our students performing on the great operatic, concert and recital stages of the world. Frost graduates are prepared to move into their careers with excellent training in vocal technique, languages, lyric diction for singing, opera stage and acting techniques, conducting and researching. They have performing experience in small ensembles, solo recitals, large ensembles, opera, choral works, and chamber music. All students---undergraduate through doctoral---audition for and sing lead roles in productions, solos in larger choral works and recitals of other Frost School performance students.
