The UW Veterans Center is a place for student veterans to connect with each other, get important info and news, and ask questions of the staff. We work to serve the student veteran community at the University of Washington. At the center you can get help with your G.I. Bill benefits, financial aid, hang out, and even get free coffee while you catch a movie in the lounge. We proudly partner with the Husky United Military Veterans on campus. They can be found at https://www.facebook.com/UW.HUMV or at https://www.facebook.com/groups/UWHUMV/ Members of the HUMV group are leaders on campus and help to shape the way the veteran community is served on campus. They tackle issues having to do with veterans both big and small. Please don't hesitate to contact the UW Veterans Center at any time with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have and we will be happy to help.

Fun Fact Friday: If you are a Chapter 33 GI Bill recipient and you have received an email from VA-ONCE that says you have been certified by the University of Washington for Winter quarter enrollment but you they have not reported tuition, do not be alarmed. This is only because your tuition cannot be officially reported until the beginning of the quarter when it has been charged. This means that you will continue to be paid your regular housing allowance and books as usual but your tuition will be placed on GI Bill hold until the VA is notified and pays. As always, if you have any questions contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, via phone at (206)543-6122, or stop by the office in HUB 327. Enjoy the rest of your break!
