Does winning mean everything and does losing make someone a loser? Find out in this musical comedy about six US school geeks competing in the finals of a prestigious spelling competition, or bee. Follow these socially inept yet charming doyennes of the dictionary as they enter battle – and learn important life lessons along the way. Produced by LIPA students as part of our Fringe season, this show is a spiritlifting tale of misfits fitting in. Each night audience volunteers are recruited to join the cast on-stage as guest spellers. No dictionaries allowed. And no phone a friend. Performed by students from different years of study and disciplines and by Liverpool actors.
