Description
The Pre-Dental Society serves to prepare students for application into dental programs, introduce involvement into organized dentistry, introduce our members into a dental environment by using field “slang” or terms and promote change for the improvement of the profession and the state of New Mexico. If you would like to join the Pre-Dental Society please email us and request membership. You can also visit us during our office hours and sign up then. We are open to any interested in the field of dentistry. Our dues per year are $35.00 which are used to renew DAT test prep materials for our members to check-out and also alleviate traveling costs of guest speakers. Some guest speakers come to our campus to conduct interviews. This saves you hundreds of dollars in traveling costs. Additionally, being a part of our society has many benefits such as below: - Access to our extensive list of dental professional mentors who allow our members to shadow their practices. - Professional mentors practice in every dental specialty and range from maxillofacial oral surgery to endodontics. - Meet many experienced members who share the same journey and are extremely helpful in passing along their experience to you. - Host many workshops, events, and guest speakers who represent all facets of dentistry. From dental school admissions committees to public health dentists. - Provide meaningful volunteer opportunities related to dentistry and the local community. - Access to our extensive library that contains Dental Admissions Test preparatory materials that can only be checked out by active due paying members.
