Description

UPAL was founded in 1985 by five Tulsa physicians. The forethought and vision of these physicians manifested itself in the form of a business cooperative which would collectively develop programs and services to drive down business overhead and personal costs. Today, the Association has nearly 800 member physicians in 18 states and provides a myriad of benefits such as: *Financial services (including retirement plans, investment management, estate planning, wealth management, banking and IRA services); *Group purchasing solutions (including insurance products, office supplies, accounting services, med‐surg supplies, office equipment and more); *Association management services (including meeting planning, budgeting, personnel supervision and more); and *Managed care contract review services (including analysis of physician contracts utilizing a proprietary review system).
