Free event to feature more than 50 food truck fares! One of the Twin Cities most popular & delicious free events – The Uptown Food Truck Festival – will invade Lake & Hennepin on Sunday, June 26th. This year the tantalizing Uptown tasting event, has expanded in multiple directions: You’ll be able to sample food truck delicacies for lunch and/or dinner, with fair hours of 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. • More than 50 food trucks will be selling their special concoctions with global cuisines ranging from Indian to British to Japanese to locally grown pork. 50 food trucks will line up along Hennepin Avenue (south from Lake Street to 31st up Holmes Avenue. $5 Pair Share: Each food truck will offer a signature dish at $5 to increase the epicurean opportunities for you and a friend. Live music will be adding to the atmosphere again this year, featuring live music and North Loop Brew Co., the official Uptown Food Truck Festival beer partner, will provide locally handcrafted beers. Other beverage options will also be available. And proceeds from all wristband sales will benefit Minnesota Internship Center, a public charter high school, helping low income and homeless teens complete their high school education. For those wanting to get out of the sun and cool down, The Uptown Food Truck Festival has partnered with Calhoun Square, offering fair-goers an indoor respite before venturing back outside for one more.
