Matt Vogel is thrilled to be joining the community in Burlington at the University of Vermont Hillel. He spent the past six years building the Hillel and Baruch College into a global organization with Hillel's Joseph Meyerhoff Award for Meaningful Jewish Experience for helping develop the Kol Hillel initiative with his partners in the Hillels of Kiev, Ukraine and Herzliya IDC in Israel. Last year, Matt was awarded the Richard M Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award for "amplifying the global spirit at Baruch College and around the world."
Matt began his career in Hillel as a proud Spartan at Michigan State University as then as Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He then played with play-doh and Excel spreadsheets with the Boulder JCC Preschool, and moved to New York to pursue an MPA in Nonprofit Management at New York University. While in New York he led the Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP) for Hillel and helped inspire many participants to pursue careers in the Jewish world. During his time in New York he served as a board member and Treasurer of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice. He was an inaugural member of ACCELERATE: Hillel's Executive Training Program and recently completed a term of service on the Director's Cabinet of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. She is excited to work with Jewish student leaders and provide more opportunities for Leadership Development, Jewish Learning and helping students create an enduring commitment to Jewish Life.
When she is not working, Sharon loves to sing, listen to music, eat, watch Mel Brooks movies and create Song Parodies (just listen to her version of Thrift Shop which is about Passover). Sharon loves meeting new people, and is always up for a cup of coffee, an impromptu dance party, or just a great conversation! Free free to stop by her office, 3rd floor of the Allen House and say hi!

MJ is excited to start his first year at The University of Vermont Hillel as Engagement Associate. He is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in psychology and marketing. While at 'Cuse, MJ went on Taglit-Birthright Israel and had a life-altering experience at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which sparked his interest to return to Israel. After graduation he found an opportunity to move to Tel Aviv to work as a business development and marketing intern for a social networking platform. While living there, MJ discovered his Jewish roots and passion for the Israeli culture, helping to form an everlasting love for Israel. He comes to Vermont with additional experience as a previous top sales associate and account opener at Nordstrom, among a variety of internships from clinical psychology to advertising. In his spare time, MJ enjoys going to the gym, cooking, football, and keeping warm in the UVM sweatshirt he got in high school.
