We are among a number of students who felt the need for an undergraduate presence supporting the work the existing graduate/law school Human Right Program at UW-Madison has been doing since 2013. This need echoes UW’s already globally recognized brand, which make tremendous impact on a variety of research fields. As undergraduate students, we hope to positively contribute to this brand by effecting meaningful changes to human rights issues through uplifting social and cultural awareness of UW students on and off campus. In this perspective, we strongly believe that human rights advocacy is most effective when calls for reform are backed by a strong and informed public society.
