Description
In partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare (BMCW), MCWP provides a full array of professional development and training services to BMCW and contract agency staff, supervisors and managers as well as to foster families licensed on behalf of the BMCW. MCWP is also part of the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS), which oversees professional development to child welfare staff, supervisors, and care-giving families throughout Wisconsin. As a member of this system, MCWP participates in a state-wide approach to training that is family-centered, child-focused, strength-based, and culturally responsive.
