Valley Christian High School is a Christian secondary school located in San Jose, California. It was founded in 1956 by Dave Wallace. As of 2011, the school principal is Mark A. Lodewyk. As of the fall of 1999, the Valley Christian High School and Junior High School have been relocated to the Skyway Campus located in south San Jose after the reopening of Branham High School.With its strong foundation of Christian values, the school challenges its 2300 students from kindergarten through high school to discover their God-given talents as expressed in A3: Academic Excellence, Artistic Beauty, and Athletic Excellence. Accredited by both ACSI and WASC, Valley Christian takes pride in its top-notch facilities that are among the finest in California—two campuses, an extensive sports complex, and the new 46,000 square foot Conservatory of the Arts (music, theatre, dance and visual arts) & Student Life Center.Academic achievementsIn 2004, Valley Christian High School received the United States Department of Education No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon award. VCHS was one of two private high schools in California to receive this award in 2004. On top of this, VCHS is one of four high schools in the United States to have received this award for that year. This award recognizes, among other accomplishments, that VCHS students test in the top 10% of the nation, and VCHS simultaneously offers appropriate courses and programs for students who are more academically challenged. Representing Valley Christian's faculty and students, Dr. Torode, Mrs. Marc and Mrs. Keleshian flew to Washington D.C. on November 2, 2004 to receive the award.

Silver Creek High School is a high school located in San Jose, California which is operated by the East Side Union High School District. It is a California Distinguished School.AccomplishmentsSilver Creek High School Silver Creek is one of only eight high schools in the nation to produce two Olympic Champions. Millard Hampton, a graduate of Silver Creek, won a Gold Medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in the 400-meter relay and a Silver Medal in the 200-meter dash. Andre Phillips, also a Silver Creek graduate, won a Gold Medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in the 400-meter hurdles.Silver Creek holds an annual Track and Field invitational titled "Hampton Phillips Classic" held at San Jose City College. The Track and Field meet in named after Millard Hampton and Andre Phillips. Silver Creek has won several CCS, League, and State titles in Track and Field and Cross Country. Silver Creek's Track and Field team remains in "Mt. Hamilton Division" in the Blossom Valley League. Silver Creek's Cross Country team also remains in "Mt. Hamilton Division" ever since the Blossom Valley League was created.The AP Program at Silver Creek is the largest in its district, offering 18 AP Classes. Its AP Calculus Program, taught by Mrs. Guttal, is one of the best in the nation. For the past 26 years, students taking the AP Calculus BC Exam have had a 100% passing rate, obtaining an average score of 5. On the other hand, students taking AP Calculus AB have also had 100% passing rates for 4 consecutive years so far. In 2007, it was the first time that all AB students passed with all 5s and one 4.
