Description

The best gift of my life were my two daughters. Unfortunately born with a rare, genetic eye condition that renders them legally blind, they forced me to rethink the way I viewed the world. Through them I learnt how children use all five senses. This changed my outlook on photography. I no longer wanted to capture forced smiles or posed images, I wanted to photograph them and their world as they hear, smell, taste, feel and see it, reflecting your childrens' true nature- a genuine & honest portrait of their personality To your children the photo shoot will be normal play time, but as the photographer it is a chance to photograph their characters. By letting them relax, explore and have fun, their true personality shines through, enabling me to capture those precious images that reflect their cheeky, adventurous and curious nature. I have been a 'part time' professional photographer for over seven years, but saved for my first SLR camera at age 13, and have been passionate (obsessive!) about photography ever since. My primary career is as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service in Cairns, where I continue to work to this day. At Vanilla Pod Photography we take great pride in producing photographs that you will love to look at, and want to share with friends and family.
