Verda Bell Fashions was created by Tonya Etter. Tonya has always had an eye for fashion and fashion trends. However growing up plus size made it every difficult to bring out her inner diva. There simply wasn't many stores that provided trendy, fashion forward clothes for young and feel young plus size women that didn't cost an arm and a leg. As a young adult she started finding trendy plus size clothes. However often times these clothes were very cheap and the quality of the clothes were poor at best. What good is spending $15 on a blouse if you can't wear it after one wash? That is where the idea of quality, trendy, plus size clothes for budget minded fashion divas was born. The name Verda Bell was inspired by her late aunt who was, in Tonya's mind, a curvy style icon. Verda Bell would say "just because you have the fat gene doesn't mean your jeans can't be killin 'em".
