Did You Know? #VSToronto assisted over 20,000 clients last year who were affected by a sudden tragedy or crime. We assist clients over the phone, at their home, or at the scene. We want our clients to be in a comfortable environment when speaking with one of our crisis counsellors.

To date, #VSToronto has over 150 community volunteers that work together with trained professional crisis counsellors. Our volunteers provide support and/or assistance over the phone or in person, alongside a crisis counsellor. Our volunteers also assist and go with a trained facilitator to T.E.A.R. Workshops. Our volunteers also help throughout the year with different Fundraising Events!

Did You Know? Last year, #VSToronto Crisis Repsonse Team assisted over 20,000 clients. 10, 440 of those clients were victims of domestic violence.

In 1990, Victim Services Toronto became fuilly operational and was staioned out of Toronto Police Service Headquarters. The core funding for Victim Services Toronto came from the Ministry of the Solicitor and the City of Toronto. #VSToronto

In 1986, the Emergency Community Services Program was renamed Victim Services Toronto. That same year, Woodgreen Red Door Shelter became Victim Services Toronto’s sponsor agency. #VSToronto
