Victim Services of Kingston and Frontenac provides confidential emotional support, practical assistance, referral and advocacy to individuals who have been victimized as a result of crime, tragic circumstance, or disaster, in order to lessen the impact of victimization. Requests for Service may include such occurrences as: Sudden Death Homicide Suicide & Attempt Suicide Partner Abuse Sexual Assault Assault Human Trafficking Hate Crime Abduction & Missing Persons Elder Abuse Family Occurrences Armed Robbery Break & Enters Motor Vehicle Collisions Fire Personal Crises Disaster Crisis assistance is provided by Victim Services Staff and by Volunteer Crisis Workers who are comprehensively screened, and are specially trained to work in their community. Staff/Volunteers are on call to Emergency Services in Kingston and Frontenac County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every effort will be made to offer services in French or other languages, as required. Victim Assistance Crisis Workers (Volunteers) are recruited from within the community and understand the particular needs of that area. A comprehensive screening process, mandatory training and communication with Staff ensures that victims and survivors are assisted with professionalism. Please note that there may also be financial assistance available for specific occurrences through the Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP). For information, please call the Victim Services office.
