Our mission is to Preserve, Promote and Support Blues music.

Description

As an afflilate of the Blues Foundation we work with in the New Orleans and South Louisiana area to Promote, Preserve and Support Blues Music. We Volunteer for several area festivals and we donate to food banks and the New Orleans Musicians Clinic. We work with area Festival Directors and event planners to get Blues Acts on stage and into events. We are charter as a 501(c)3 NOT FOR PROFIT organization.

General Info

One of our annual goals is to select a Band and Solo Duo act for the International Blues Challenge held each year in Memphis. As an affiliate of the Blues Foundation the Voodoo Blues Krewe holds its own New Orleans Blues Challenge in the late summer of every year to select our representatives for the International Blues Challenge. Bands tht win the New Orleans Challenge also are invited to Play in the Crescent City Blues Fest, The Voice of the Wetlands Festival, Wednseday on the Point and the list is growing.
