Description
Richard left school in 1982 and within 6 months bought his first Beetle, back then not many garages wanted to maintain air-cooled cars, so for the next 8 years while learning body and paintwork skills and working at a couple of local garages, Richard also learnt the skills he needed to maintain and repair his own Volkswagens. Local garages still didn’t seem keen to repair air-cooled vehicles, so more and more Volkswagens were finding their way to Richard for him to fix at weekends and nights. This went on for quite a while until the point came where Richard started his own garage, concentrating mainly on servicing, body and paintwork, with a mixture of air-cooled Volkswagens and modern cars. Fast forward a few years and the Volkswagen side of the business had taken over, and a new business was founded. Established early in 2005 by Richard and Tracy, the business soon grew to a point that required an extra pair of hands and Jimmy was recruited. At the end of 2008 we moved to our current larger premises, which has enabled us to have a new/used parts department and a 2 post ramp in the service area.We now have a range of services on offer, welding seems to be a mainstay these days as the annual MOT Tests come round, and of course servicing and general repairs. Other services are body and paintwork and the new/used parts department, we are currently looking at designing and installing camper interiors
