Football season is back, and it’s time for the first game of the official season, homecoming! Tickets are $4 dollars for students and $6 dollars for adults. The football team is playing against Melrose. This is the first time in fifty-five years that they are not playing against them on Thanksgiving. This will be the 99th time the two teams have met. Best of luck to the Warriors!

Wakefield High School welcomes you, or a representative from your company, to join the Junior Class in its 9th Annual Job Shadow Day on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015. The day is designed to give students in the Junior Class an opportunity to “shadow” a professional for a portion of the day to see what their job entails. Last year over a hundred Wakefield High School students had the unique opportunity to learn about the “real world” from a professional such as you. The day will begin with a breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Wakefield High School Field House where you will meet your student. At the conclusion of the breakfast, you will begin your regular work day to give the student(s) an opportunity to experience what you do in the course of a day. We ask that you return the student back to school between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. Due to the increasing popularity of this program we are looking to be as flexible as possible to increase our employer participation. To this end, if you are interested in participating, but do not know if you will be able to participate on March 25th, we can work around your schedule. Also, some employers have met with students at Wakefield High School instead of their job site because of logistical issues, or work site restrictions. In addition to your participation, if you can refer anyone you believe would be interested in participating we are looking for additional volunteers! If you have questions about participating, please do not hesitate to e-mail me back and ask. Brian Robertson- Job Shadow Day Coordinator
