Washington Latin Public Charter School provides a challenging, classical education that is accessible to students throughout the District of Columbia.

Description

WLPCS opened in 2006 with 179 students in grades five through seven; we have added a grade each year and graduated our first class of seniors on June 8, 2012. Our first location was in Christ Church of Washington at 3855 Massachusetts Avenue (two blocks west of Washington National Cathedral). In 2008 we added a second campus for our eighth and ninth graders at 4715 16th Street on the corner of Decatur (just south of Carter Barron), and in 2009 we moved our entire Middle School (grades 5-8) to 4115 16th St. NW on the corner of Upshur, just a half-mile from our Upper School. In 2010 we added an additional campus for our upper school at 4501 16th Street NW on the corner of Allison. We now enroll 600 students and plan to house the entire school in a permanent site for the 2013-14 school year.
