The Waterloo Schools Foundation is an independent, non-profit charitable organization, governed by an 20 member Foundation Board of Directors. Our sole purpose and mission is to provide supplemental resources for educational excellence in the Waterloo Community School District. We are working for the benefit of our students, educators, leaders and the District as a whole. Our Board is comprised of community leaders, parents and grandparents, alumni, past School Board members, and retired educators from Waterloo schools. What do we fund? STEM camps. STEM festivals. Young Scholar Awards. Innovative Teaching grants. STEM coordination. Career Academy initiatives. Technology for PK-12 classrooms...AND more. More than $500,000 in gifts have been given back to Waterloo schools, teachers and students in just three years.
