Let's hope the rain stays away and everyone has a great day at the Cheshire Ploughing Match being held at Ashley Hall. We are there all day supporting our friends Mellor Braggins Estates Plus. Good luck to all competitors - call and say hello if your coming along!
Isn't it wonderful - the sun is still shining even though the kids have broken up from school! If you're wondering what to do to keep the little ones entertained for a while, why not pop down to the farm shop, get some yummy sticky piglet sausages, steak & onion burgers and smokey bbq chicken breasts for your tea time bbq and let the little ones stroke the lambs, calves and little piglets whilst you shop. As an after tea treat why not get the kids some delicious chocolate saddleback piglets or cute and tasty Somerset cows? And don't forget to treat yourself too - perhaps a chilled glass of Rose Wine, Cornish Orchards Blush Cider or a stunning locally brewed ale - at WBF, we've got the lot! We're open till 5.30pm today, tomorrow and Saturday till 1.30 - we hope to see you soon.
Wow! what a fantastic year - it seems that everyone wants a Box Clever hamper for Christmas! It's certainly kept the happy hamper packers busy.

A huge THANK YOU to Father Christmas for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us at the farm today. To all the little country bumpkins who came to see him, rest assured, he has taken note of your requests and is now getting his elves primed to make sure you get everything you wished for (as long as you contine to be good little folk for Mummy and Daddy). I have to apologise to the yummy mummy who asked Santa for Brad Pitt and a Range Rover Sport - Head Shackette Ruth got there before you - better luck next year! We hope you all had a lovely time and enjoyed our festive fayre, dodgy elf outfits and general Christmassyness! Heartfelt thanks to our fabulous loyal customers who come and support us rain or shine and thank you too to those who have just discovered us. Merry Christmas all, love from the Waugh Brow Farm Team xx Ps - we are still taking orders for our fabulous, farm fresh turkeys (don't worry, it won't look anything like the one sitting on Daves' head!) X
SANTA IS COMING TO THE FARM! Christmas is coming the geese are getting nervous and Santa is busy with the aa route planner plotting his deliveries on Christmas Eve. We are very pleased to announce that he has found time in his hectic schedule, to pop down to the farm this Saturday 10th December, to say hello. We have made him a lovely little grotto in the barn where he will be waiting to greet all the little country bumpkins needing to tell him how good they have been and what they would like to get in there stocking. Bobby the pony, not wanting to be left out, has bought himself a very fetching reindeer outfit bless him. We think he's heard a whisper that reindeer get lots of carrots at Christmas time! Mulled wine, our famous hot chocolates, festive, farm fresh yummies and a very warm welcome await you all. Love and festive farm huggies from all of us at Waugh Brow xxxx
Hello to all our lovely customers! Just to let you know that unfortunately we will have to close today as we have no electricity. Yes, we have paid the bill folks, but Scottish Power need to replace poles and wirey things apparently, so we're off from 9am till 5pm. We will be open tomorrow as usual with David and Frank entertaining you with their witty banter as they bag up your bangers and slice your steaks! Love from the Waugh Brow Farm Team xx
What a spooktastic day yesterday! Wilber, the giant spider greeted our visitors as they came through the farm gate and, our spookylicous specials menu, pumpkin pen and Wanda, the newbourn calf proved a huge hit with our merry revelours! The fabulous shackettes entered into the spirit of things too and looked frighteningly brilliant! Looking forward to doing it all again today!
***MACMILLAN COFFEE & CAKE MORNING*** FRIDAY 30th SEPTEMBER, 10AM TILL 12 NOON @ THE SNACK SHACK, WAUGH BROW FARM Very few of us are lucky enough to have never been affected by the big 'C'. Our family has had several encounters with this vicious, indiscriminate disease losing close family members and much loved friends too. The support of the team at Macmillan helped us through those dark, dark days with their awesome emotional and practical support - without them we would have been lost. We can never repay them for all the help they gave to us and our family, but hope that hosting a jolly coffee morning here at the farm might go some way to saying THANK YOU. Please come along with your friends and little ones - there's plenty to keep the small people occupied whilst you enjoy your coffee and slice of moovelous homemade cake. Please help us give something back to the people that give so much. We hope to see you on Friday for a fun, fundraising farm experience with CAKE!!!! Love from the Waugh Brow Farm Team xxx
As all you cycling enthusiasts will know, the Tour of Britain race comes to Knutsford tomorrow! Here at the funny farm, we've been very busy preparing everything for our stall on knutsford Heath. We will be there from the crack of sparrows, with a veritable feast of farm fresh yummies, Cheshire bacon butties, home reared pork sausage baps, breakfast barms and the famous 'Mobberley whopper' burger to sustain the merry revelours supporting our wonderful athletes! So, if you fancy a nibble of some moovelous farm fresh fayre, mosey on down to Knutsford Heath tomorrow - we look forward to seeing you there. Love from the Waugh Brow Farm team x
In a bid to stop Shaun, our escapologist sheep, from eating all the plants in the courtyard, we used some of the 'baaah stools' from the sheep & aviation viewing station, to barricade the woolly pest in - I think perhaps we wasted our time!
The sun is shining so why not jog on down to the farm? Sit and relax in our picturesque court yard whilst the little ones play in the cool and shady barn. Munch on a slice of homemade cake or choose a delicious farm fresh lunch from our moovelous menu with lots of lovely yummies to tickle your taste buds. So let's make the most of the sunshine - who knows tomorrow it might be raining - again!
Happy 30th birthday to our beautiful daughter Georgina. Thanks to all who joined us at the farm for her party last, we hope you all had fun. Xxxxx
Now that the youngsters have broken up from school, what better way to keep them entertained than a visit to the farm? Even if the sun stops shining and the rain sets in, it doesn't matter. At Waugh Brow - we have a large indoor barn with straw bounce, toys & games and lovely animals to see. Our cosy, shabby chic indoor seating area is the perfect place for the grown up's to relax and chat whilst your youngsters enjoy all the fun of the farm. The new summer menu starts tomorrow with mooovelous, farm fresh, homemade food - nothing bought in or imported here; and if you don't see anything on the menu that tickles your fancy - if we sell it in our fab farm shop, we can cook it in the Snack Shack! Happy holidays little country bumpkins, we look forward to seeing you soon.
Sara Porter this is the one 😊
