My page is about general home repair and maintenance. I have a very simple philosophy on how to make this business work, and keeping things simple is the trick to residential home repair. My name is Patrick Thompson. I have lived in Tucson all my life and I have been doing home repair and trade work for 16 years, beginning with my first shop job at Kazal Fire as a pipe threader. Several years later, I began working part time for a friend who was a general contractor and worked part time for him for the last 13 years, off and on. We have done everything from raplacing septic tanks and sewer lines to building new homes and repairing old ones, particularly the rentals our friends own and maintain. I have learned a few tricks over the years, and have had some good teachers, but the thing I learned through my own resources was shop repair. As a child, my grandfather, Patrick Garcia, was his friends' and families" go-to guy. He could fix anything from the kids toys to his buddies' reloading presses. Watching and working with my grandfather inspired me to keep my shop skills sharp and my hands well trained. I became aware of how advanced my abilitiea became while employed at Ace Hardware for a period, and I was always wishing I had my tools at my disposal. I always said, "If I had a shop like this with MY tools, I would be a millionaire." Well, I guess the time has come to make good on that statement. I will try to fix anything you bring to my home repair shop, and will fix just about anything you need fixed at your home. How do I plan to succeed? Very simple. I live a simple life and maintain a simple lifestyle. My luxuries are my books and my tools, and I don't need a lot to be comfortable. That is the Cowboy way. Because my personal finances afford me minimal expenses, I can focus on the things that will make me money and in turn, allow me to utilize the service of other talented tradesmen I have had the pleasure of working with over the years. I have friends who make good money tell me that if I get this up and going, they will quit their jobs and come to work here. What more incentive do you need than to work with those you love the most doing what we love to do? That's not a job, that's a lifestyle.
