It's Friday and the Weary is serving seared grassfed hanger steak with herb-roasted fingerling potatoes, sautéed zucchini, local bok choy, and tomatoes, and a red wine-sage-butter pan sauce. The bok choy comes to us from the Allen Centennial Gardens on UW campus. :)
This was a return visit for out-of-towners that was very disappointing. We were up-charged for an order that the waitress suggested without telling us that there was an upcharge and it was a substantial one. When we questioned it in a very polite way, she got angry, offered to take a $1 off, took it to talk to manager again and just put bill on the table without saying anything or changing anything, The very friendly waitress was no longer friendly and the weary travelers left still weary never to return.

Superfoods Salad this evening is comprised of a bed of Vitruvian Farms mixed greens, roasted yams, beets, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds, Supercharge Foods sunflower sprouts, sesame-kale chips, Clock Shadow Creamery chèvre, and a creamy sesame-ginger vinaigrette! Healthy and delicious!
Okay, so don't go getting your undies in a bundle,,,, but we changed a few things on the menu! Woah there! Calm down! We have what we are calling a Superfood salad. Rotating good-for-you seasonal and local ingredients, with a yummy vinaigrette, Vitruvian Farm's mixed greens and SuperCharge Foods' sprouts. Also! Underground Meats made us a a terrific Cervalas sausage that we are stuffing with Roth Grand Cru and wrapping in Nueskes bacon, and serving it with herb roasted fingerling potatoes, cabbage slaw, cherry tomatoes and mustard.
