Description
After specialized training in Food service and six years in full service catering, I founded Wedding & Event Planning By S. Hutchinson in 2013. While in the catering industry, I was honored to take part in many Weddings and special events including three years catering for the Washington Redskins. While I quickly fell in love with Catering Weddings , one thing that I noticed was that a lot of times the contact person would be the mother or father of the bride. Needless to say that many times this lead to confusion as vendors would show up and the contact person would be enjoying the ceremony or taking pictures. Born a leader I found myself often stepping in helping out vendors and family members to ensure that the event would be a success. I was born in the state of Maryland spending most of my life living in the Washington DC area along with a few years living in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Living in Jamaica and being a seasoned traveler has also given me a greater edge over others, as I am quickly able to adapt to different environments and cultures. I'm presently a member of the The Bridal Association of America and taking classes to become certified as a wedding and event planner.
