Scotland's leading provider of Nightclub and Event Medical services. Providing First Aid and Medical cover across Scotland and the UK. West Coast Event Medical Services was Established in 2013; when a small team of highly skilled, experienced and trusted First Aiders, EMTs and Nightclub Medics formed together to provide a second to none service to Scotland’s events industry. We provide first aid and medical cover to any event, specialising in higher risk events, nightclubs, concerts and music festivals. We are passionate in and specialise in the provision of medical cover to nightclubs; where we have discovered the importance of having independent ‘nightclub medics’ to supplement the HSE First Aid at Work provision. We work alongside local authorities, including; senior NHS Scotland doctors, Police Scotland and local Licensing Boards. We can work with you and your team in providing the best standards of health and safety for you, your staff and your patrons. Reputation is everything - and safety comes first. --- Nightclub Medics bridge the gap between First Aiders and Paramedics and provide a service to nightclubs, licensed premises and club related events. They do not take over the role of statutory services (eg. Paramedics, Nurses and Doctors). Nightclub Medics enhance on the first aid provision by providing the service to fully assess/monitor and treat patients and to provide an enhanced level of emergency medical care. Nightclub Medics provide the capability to fully assess and monitor patients which is incredibly vital when dealing with potential medical emergencies as well as alcohol and drug intoxication – as symptoms can mimic those of many other conditions and medical emergencies. They can therefore treat more appropriately on-site, heavily reducing 999 ambulance calls and referrals to hospital. They also have a responsibility to ensure other club staff are informed and trained in the toxicity of recreational drugs and the common features seen in individuals becoming unwell through these. The term ‘Nightclub Medic’ is common throughout England as it has become a necessary resource, as pushed by the NHS and local authorities, to deploy medical staff to clubs.
