Officers also seized a quantity of Class A drugs and cash from vehicle stops and subsequent house searches. On Wednesday, 4 March, officers stopped a silver VW Golf in North Park Road, Manningham, after receiving information that the vehicle was believed to have been involved in the supply of drugs in the Girlington and Manningham areas. Its driver, a 25-year-old man from Bradford, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property after he was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine and £200 in cash. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries. The following day (Thursday, 5 March) officers stopped a black VW Bora in Heidelberg Road, Girlington, after receiving information that the vehicle was believed to have been involved in drugs transactions in the area. Officers seized a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine from the vehicle and around £400 in cash. The male occupants, aged 22, 27 and 17, all from the Bradford area, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Subsequent address searches found more heroin, drugs paraphernalia and £300 in cash. All were later released on bail pending further enquiries. Detective Inspector Ian Bryar, who leads the Bradford District Quartz Team, said: "This is an excellent example of how we can work with the public to gather information and take action against those involved in the supply of illegal drugs. "Police in Bradford are committed to removing these substances and those who supply them from our streets, and I would urge anyone with information on those involved in the supply of illegal drugs to contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
Robbery suspects arrested - Clayton An armed robbery occurred at Cash for Gold Jewellers in the city on Saturday morning (7th). The vehicle used in the offence was quickly suspected to be linked to an address in our area by officers from Bradford West NPT who attended at the suspects address and arrested two men on suspicion of the offence. It was the excellent work from Bradford West officers that identified the suspects car, leading to the arrest of the suspects and locating the suspects. The men were dealt with by officers from the Bradford CID and enquiries continue.
On Friday 27th of February 2015 officers from the Bradford District Drugs team executed a drugs warrant at an address at Bollingbrooke Court, Bradford. This followed local concerns regards persistent drug use inside the address and also outside. Two adult males and an adult female were arrested on suspicion of money laundering and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. All three were later bailed pending further enquiries. Officers from the Bradford West neighbourhood policing team also attended and issued nineteen dispersal orders to persons close to the address or inside at the time of the warrant. This ensured they would be liable to arrest if they returned to the area and has proved effective in combating anti social behaviour and persistent drug use in and around the Manchester Road flats. The housing provider In communities subsequently evicted the tenants and have now 'tinned' up the address.
