My name is David Rochon and I work as a supervisor at a Christian rehab called the N.E. Texas Dream Center south of Paris in Deport, Tx. and volunteer in the Texas State Jails . I am 33 years old and Jesus delivered me from a life of crime, drugs, and sexual promiscuity. When I was in prison in Oklahoma I got involved with a Christian group that taught integrity and focused on accountability. This group is called Genesis One and outside of prison they are a network of prison ministers, churches, transitional living facilities, and employers. After an inmate is involved with G-1 for 6 months and showing their accountability they become a G-1 member. G-1's goal is to get inmates planted in a good church (we don't promote a denomination just the transforming power of Jesus), a place to live, and employment. Right now G-1 is only in Oklahoma, but is open to starting chapters in Texas prison in 2016. Now you may say what do we need to do to start a G-1 Texas? -Churches that are willing to say we will accept inmates into our church when they are released, and help them further their walk with Jesus. -Volunteers to go into prisons to oversee the inmate accountability groups -Volunteers to help released inmates utilize resources in the community -Help G-1 to network with Sober living houses and reintegration programs in your community -Inform employers in your community of the potential of honest and good working individuals that can be available from proven G-1 members Please check out the G-1 website to see how it operates in Oklahoma genesisonenetwork.com. If your church is on board with the G-1 concept please contact g-1 on their site, please pass this info on to anyone you know that could be part of G-1. IF YOU ARE READING THIS POST ON FACEBOOK PLEASE SHARE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yours Because of Jesus' Sacrifice, David Andrew Rochon

The Resurrection of Jesus. On Easter, God shows us that he's undone death - and offers us the opportunity to receive eternal life through faith in Jesus. Tomorrow, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rev. Elliott is going to preach on the subject of the Resurrection - why hundreds of witnesses in the first century believed and testified to the fact that Jesus rose, physically, from the dead- and why we should too. If you're in-town, come celebrate Easter with us. Westminster Presbyterian Church - 33rd and Indiana - Lubbock, TX 9 AM - Modern Worship Service 10 AM - Community Easter Egg Hunt 11 AM- Traditional Service
