Question from a resident who is going through neighbourhood renewal this year: Hello! Can anyone help me answer this question... What happens to our mail delivery during the neighbourhood renewal construction when there is no access via the sidewalks? I've been in touch with the city & Canada Post but no one seems to know. If you are from the west or south parts of the neighbourhood who had NR done last summer, please let us know!!

Hello Westmount! As you know, neighbourhood reconstruction is in full swing once again. There have been reports of people taking the sidewalk inlays from the sidewalks in the heritage area of Westmount. The WCL has been working with the city to ensure that all the inlays will be given to the WCL at the end of the construction season. The City is very concerned about the safety implications of the inlays being taken out before the sidewalks are closed off. If you are interested in obtaining one of the inlays, have questions about what is happening to them or have any concerns, please contact Carla, the president of the community league at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your help in this matter!!

BREATHE is a transformative strategy to make sure that as the city grows, each neighbourhood will be supported by a network of open space for the next 30 years. The main goal of the Green Network Strategy is to plan and sustain a healthy city by encouraging connection and integration of open space at the site, neighbourhood, city and regional levels. Please take some time to watch the video and complete the questionnaire and spatial survey! http://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/projects_redevelopment/survey.aspx

Has anyone had serious mail delivery issues while the Sidewalk construction is happening? Getting very different info from Canada post each time I call. Can you suggest a post office to try & pick stuff up?
A friendly reminder to everyone around the construction zone; you might want to take some extra steps in securing your vehicle if you're parking in the alley. Some <censored> destroyed one of the door locks on our van trying to break in to it last night. The alley between 109 and 109a ave & 125 and 126 str. Hopefully it was a one time attempt, but based on the amount of damage that was done, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they tried again somewhere else.

We've heard from 20 people in the neighbourhood, but we need more input!! Please take 10 minutes and complete the survey! We need to hear from you! In 2019, Westmount Community League will be celebrating our 100th Anniversary. The board sees this as an opportunity to look at the community hall and rink shack (the building just south of the hall) and consider how it might better serve the residents, the community and the surrounding areas. And we can't do that without input from the residents and users of the hall. http://www.westmountcommunityleague.com/#!community-hall-renovation-survey/toeol
