Description

Established in 1990, Westview School is a nonprofit, nonpublic school serving high potential students in grades 6 through 12 with learning differences, Asperger's syndrome, ADHD and mild emotional issues that benefit from a small, supportive learning environment. Westview's unique college preparatory program strives to prepare its graduates to successfully transition into higher education, and meet the challenges of adult life. For a select group of students, Westview also offers an Independent Study program. This one-to-one individualized program meets biweekly and offers a path to a high school diploma. Emphasis is placed on meeting graduation requirements as well as developing improved work habits and organizational skills.

Tuesday, November 18th – seniors place their class ring orders Wednesday, November 19th - Mitchell College will be here to give a presentation to juniors and seniors at 11:00 a.m. The Thanksgiving luncheon is scheduled for noon on Thursday, November 20th Immediately following lunch the Middle School will depart for their Ocean Institute trip.

There are several common language disorders in which students have trouble expressing themselves. The child will often want to communicate, but be unable to find the proper words. This disability often includes difficulty writing and reading and well.
