"WHO I AM" is a nonprofit organization serving children (Newark NJ, Tri State area, across this Nation and around the World) . Newark NJ 07103 In 2009, a dedicated Mother and Daughter established the organization that would become "WHO I AM" Youth Etiquette Program. Today, we are a non-profit Oraganization that Enhances, Empowers, Motivates, Challenges, Instructs and Helps develop the lives of young girls ages 3-17 in all communities.
We believe that children will succeed given the tools, choices and opportunities to do so; we will accommodate the needs to accomplish this through structured group discussions, Ethical Culture and Diversity, Workshops on Proper Etiquette, Public Speaking, (peer to peer and larger audiences), Career Building, Self Preservation, Life Skills, Community Building, and Self Esteem. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of acquiring a higher education. Each workshop will be taught by qualified Mentors in their particular subject area. As an incentive, we will be offering classes on Poetry, All Genres of Music, Sign Language, Ball Room and African Dancing, Modeling, Home Economics, Arts and Field Trips, and other activity. All these programs are designed to help develop a well rounded person in society. We will be proactive and progressive in the lives of their families because we beleive that it takes a village to raise a child and a Queen and King to raise a princess and a prince. In the near future, we plan to develop a program for young princes who want to find and understand their place in society.
We meet every Saturday 8:30am-1pm Louise A. Spencer Elelmentary School 66 Muhammad Ali Ave. Newark NJ 07108

That every unemployed eligible adult member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church family and the surrounding communities achieve favorable employment. “And look out for one another’s interests, not just for your own.” Philippians 2:4 The Metropolitan Baptist Church Employment Ministry, MetroWorks, is a product of our visionary and Pastor, Rev. Dr. David Jefferson, Sr. We realize that God is our source, but He uses work as a resource to ensure that our needs are met. MetroWorks is composed of men and women that give of their time and talents to assist those that are in search of employment, as well as employment alternatives. Our volunteers work tirelessly fostering relationships with businesses, job seekers, as well as community services to form a collaborative group effort of resources. We will continue to make our contribution to the community at large by equipping them with adequate tools, techniques, as well as training and support for finding and maintaining employment.
