In days gone by, the more style-savvy individuals in the art world carried their accessories and personal items in wooden cases. On the outside, many were kept like new for decades whereas others carried the knocks and paint splashes of a case that had done the somewhat harder yards. On the inside, it was yours to carry whatever you wished but one look inside any case could tell you a wealth about the person it belonged to. Every single artist case was unique, exactly how the individual wanted it to be. In modern society, the onset of mass production consumer goods has compromised the quality of many products we buy but it has also limited our individuality. Many of today's creative people now use computers for their work and more often than not they will be MacBook users. We believe people are willing to pay a little bit extra for quality craftsmanship and in the knowledge they will have the best case available for their MacBook and accessories. We want to offer these people the chance to be individuals again. Wildfire as a company is my partner, Kelly, and myself, Simon. Having originally met at university, we spent several years in the wilderness before getting together as a couple in 2010. We live in Bath, one of Britain's greatest cities and one which, through it's unique blend of style and heritage, provides a constant source of inspiration. We have two goals in life; to start a family and to start a business together...we have our first child on the way and Wildfire, with our wooden MacBook cases, is the business! We are motivated by a want for something stylish and functional that we didn't feel existed until now. Frustrated by the lack of quality MacBook case options available, we hunted down the UK's finest woodworking specialist to help us to do something about it. Now our mission is simple, to create the world's finest wooden MacBook cases. A throwback to the artist cases of days gone by, our wooden MacBook cases are made from Black Walnut or Cherry wood and fit all current 13" MacBook models (Pro, Pro Retina and Air). For previous MacBook models, the maximum dimensions that fit are up to 12.8 x 8.94 x 0.95. Please drop us a message for quotes on bespoke cases with different wood, cloth colours or dimensions.
