Description

We are in the Broomhall conservation area, close to the University of Sheffield and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The clinic is housed in a beautiful Victorian building, and our waiting room looks out on an established garden to the rear. Our clinic is calm and peaceful, despite our central location. History Wilkinson Street Physiotherapy has been a home for quality physiotherapy since 1985. Respected practitioner George Chia established the clinic as a centre for expert physiotherapy and acupuncture. When he retired in 2010, George sold the business and passed on the goodwill to Thomas Mitchell, telling him (in his in own inimitable way) “a rolling stone gathers no moss, so stop rolling and put some roots down here!”

How To Get to Wilkinson Street Physiotherapy

Car parking We have two car parking spaces in front of the building on our drive and free vouchers for the on-road parking bays if needed. Bus We are a one-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Take the 120 to the stop on Glossop Road opposite the University. Get off here, walk along Glossop Road towards the Hallamshire but turn left at Scott’s Pantry on the corner. The clinic is just down the hill on the right. Tram We are about five minutes’ walk from the ‘University’ stop. Pass the Sainsbury’s Local on the corner and walk up Glossop Road past The Harley. Take the first left (Brunswick Street), then the first right (Wilkinson Street). The clinic is up the hill on the left.

General Info

The clinic is at the top of Wilkinson Street, near the junction with Glossop Road. Go down the hill from Scott’s Pantry sandwich shop on the corner; Wilkinson Street Physiotherapy is the fourth building on the right. When you arrive at the clinic the main entrance is at the side. Ring the doorbell and walk straight along the hall into the waiting room where we will call you through at your appointment time. We have two dedicated off-road parking spaces at the front of the clinic, and parking vouchers for the on-road spaces if needed. We are easy to get to by bus or tram.
